You're lucky! I get it once a week at least! (Same dud who asks me to ship his diamonds from Swizerland)

I tried replying with a collection of insults at one point, but the email recipient was "unknown". Still thinking of a way to get back to Mr Mpeti kabila...

Those Nigeran emails are actually kind of entertaining.

Wouldn't spend money on it, though.  Wouldn't respond to the authors either.  You never know who might come knocking on your door in the dark of night.

Not much you can do to make em stop..

You have to use some kind of spam filter on your mail server/client. I dont know if you can do this in outlook...

In most email clients you can do "automated" tasks, like :
if sender = nigeraletter.nigera@nigera.com then put in trashcan

Nice example right? :D

LOL!

I started receiving these via snail mail back in the early 90s. I wrote about the scam in an association newsletter I produced at the time when this wasn't so common and had one of our association members call me and say something like:

Him: "Are you sure those are really scams? I got a letter and...blah, blah...did what he asked...blah, blah...."

Me: " I would suggest you check your bank account.

Didn't hear how it finally turned out :)

Now that I'm in petroleum journalism they are actually niche marketing to me. The letter comes from an official with "The Nigerian National Oil Company..." Nothing like having the right list  :)
