I have worked on maps for the last week in hopes that they may be of benifit to you. They are available at bombergroup.com
They should help you identify the targets more effectivly. These are compliments of the Dickweed Heavy Bomber Group. Check us out at the link if you care to. Now I can get back to playing the game! hehe

great work on those maps thunder.

I'd like to point out, though, that the ack locations aren't the same at every field, and the locations marked on the maps are only approximate.  For example, field 8.  The northeast ack is at the end of that little dirt road that runs between the barracks and the northeast fuel tank.  The locations marked a good places for the buff drivers to start looking for the acks.

Thanks for that input 214Cave]I didn't check all the fields for all locations but will do so as time goes on. HiTech Creations may  modify fields, locations and appearances of objects in the future. I hope pilots can use these now for organizing bomber strikes to targets and strategic complex's. Just a NOTE.. hint hint! FOR ALL PILOTS there are two components of the scoring system as you know. In order to obtain a high ranking a pilot MUST be able to fly a Bomber & a Fighter with good stats in BOTH catagories. No longer can a fighter pilot or a bomber pilot just fly one tpye and be at the top.
These maps were made for ALL pilots not just bomber pilots.

Probably shouldn't say this, especially here, but scoring is unrealistic and gives a false sense of flying ability.

Remember, in real combat the score ended with the pilots death. As a result the motivation was quite different.

If you want a realistic scoring system it should add points until your death. It could be something like a listing of your highest number of kills in a row, and then list your current kill streak.

Oh well, something to think about. I don't have to worry about scoring as yet. I'm new here and must have crashed 40 or more times just setting up the stick and figuring out what to do. hehehe.

thunder, those maps should be just fine, as they give an idea of where to start looking for the acks.  Perhaps drawing a line around where the acks are located instead of doing a map for each individual field?  I'd be happy to help ya with that if you're interested.

The logic of forceing a coustomer to play a game he is not interested in excapes me. I played WB for a year. I never flew a bomber, not even off line. Ive flown a c47 ONE time in AH to take a feild. I wont ever fly one again. If this really is required to score well. Its a mistake. For thoese of you that like to buff. Live it up. Just dont force me to do something that does not interest me.

I agree TT, I hate the Big Uhhggly Fu -ers as well  .
On the other hand I couldn't care less about the scoring ... which is lucky I guess, because my scores aren't anything to write home about!

Cheers

TT,

I understand your feelings and have no comments possitive or negative on them.
HiTech Creations has created a great simulation and have set up there scoring system. I only have provided these maps for pilots who want to use them for whatever purpose they have. If scoring is important to them ..they should help. If bombing is important and understanding stategic closures and how to inflict maximum damage..they should help. If you just like to fly fighters they might let you know where the buffs are going.. they should help. If you don't like any of that ... they are probably a waste of your time. Hope they help though!   Salute!

WTG, Thunder! Been waiting for a while now for someone with more time and ambition than me to provide this valuable and welcome service for AH.  Thanks, buddy.
