I was on earlier in the night and my Frame Rate dropped from 45 to 2 going through two lots of smoke. I haven't tried it since then as there was a server problem and I was having more discoes than John Travolta.

Hotdog, think that i usually fly in clear sky with 6-8 fps (now 4-5, guess download-lag), yesterday in a1 (smoke), i got 1 fps.

max achieved in precedeing version: 15 fps, but i was kissed by God

My pc:

CPU - PII-266
RAM - 128Mb 100mhz
VID - Ati Rage 3d pro 32Mb
3DFX - Voodoo Graphics 8Mb
SB - SB live 1024

Latest drivers and dx

I guess is old-processor, someone have ideas 'bout what modify in setup or OS (W98 SE) to squeeze better performance ?

Agreed NASH, Settle down guys. HTC will fix the bugs, you got to give them credit for bringing out so much with this version. SO be patient, hell they haven't even woken up yet.

hang... the game was very unstable last night and maybe all the downloads or the fact that so many people gathered around one spot had a lot to do with it but... It still appears at this point that you are right. The pony was a dog. I was easily outturned by the A5 in both the horizontal and the vertical. Acceleration doesn't seem to be even close. Got good solid hits on 190's with the ,50's with no effect I could see. Lag guns killed well.

Oh... I hope it was the state of the net last night but.... I seen some very "WB" like warp rolls done by desperate 190A5's last night. I also hope that some of the 190 acceleration i seen was a result of net lag. I allmost overran a couple of them doing warp rolls and then had em accelerate away from my lag when I slowed to get the shot.

Smoke (I thought it was a tornado or a video card glitch) dropped my frame rate an ungawdly amount. Thought i would use it to momentarily escape the vultch fest a 13-14... Big mistake.

Give HTC a few days to release a patch or two to fix the obvious flaws in 1.03(just like they've done after every release to date).

Everyone who's been flying AH for a while should know that during the first day or two of a new release, there are increased discoes and warps due to downloading.

Patience, young Jedi. I'm sure HTC will be more than interested in quashing any bugs.

Pyro posted some P51 data about 2-3 weeks ago and mentioned that the data at that time for P51 was not correct, so, evidently they fixed the P51 closer to how it behaved historically ? Dunno, don't fly it.

Have a celi 400 oc to 450 + TNT2 ultra with ok results in AH 1.03 but i'm collecting my bucks to buy a P3 700-8oomhz in the near future

I was not dumped once last night.

I did not experience a frame rate plummet with the new version.

I did not experience much excessive lag last night.

You can all hate me now.

Unfortunately, I did not get a single kill and was shot down 5 times.

edit: BTW I have an Athlon 700 with a GeForce256 DDR connected through ADSL.

Lazs: I only flew the A5 twice last nite, but from inside the cockpit - the dang thing snap rolls like you wouldn't believe, and sometimes snaps at the beginning of a break turn of you haul too desperately ;p on the stick.

I saw the same desperate warps with all a/c- it was not a normal AH night for lag.

I think we need to wait a few days to see how it sorts out, as I don't think we have seen a stable environment for 1.03 just yet...

How much do you have to spend?

If you have $1,250.00-$2,000.00 or so, I'd reccomend the following:

If you're willing to wait a month or so:
SocketA Athlon at about 900Mhz
Asus KT133 based motherboard.

If you must have it NOW:
SlotA Athlon 900Mhz
Abit KA7-100
128-256Mb of Micron PC133 RAM
Leadtek GeForce2
Soundblaster Live Gamer
UDMA100 Hard drice.

I'll try to get frame rates for you when I get home.

Hang...

Was up last night in p51, fast 3 kill sortie 2 Yaks & 1 Zeke.

There have been no changes to the p51. Guns are the same and FM hasnt changed at all.

Also,my frame rate has remained the same,ive taken not hits at all.

Only problem i have is when i click online AH minumizes to desktop,then i go back in & click on arena it minumizes again. Then when i click on fly it does it one last time.. Then i can fly..

Also, i was in a tank,switched from upper gun to 75mm hit fire & AH closed altogether..

But the planes just rock,190a5,Yak .. lota fun last night.
