LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas (Reuters) -- Police in northeast Arkansas were searching Tuesday for two men who allegedly killed a 20-pound chow dog, then grilled it.

The remains of the animal, named Pooh, were discovered on a backyard grill in Jonesboro, a city of about 60,000 people 135 miles northeast of Little Rock.

"We did recover some paws, but the rest of the body hasn't been found," Jonesboro police Captain Scott Roper said.

Pooh's owner, Jared Kemp, 20, identified two suspects to police, but Roper said there was no known motive for the incident.

"We don't believe at this time that they ate it," he said of the dog.

I know a guy who killed, cooked and ate a dog.  He and his buddies were drunk and dressed like indians at the time.  They were at a Mountain Man living-history re-enactment.  They couldn't sleep because of a yapping dog, so they did what they figured real indians would do.  He actually crawed over to the dog with his knife clenched between his teeth!

Not too long ago, my neighbor's dogs mauled my 4runner while trying to get to a cat that was sitting on the glass of my sunroof.  Justice was almost served at the receiving end of an aluminum baseball bat.  Instead, Justice came through more civilized means - the guy paid the repair bill, then moved away a few months later.

Animal control is a 2-way street.  Not only does a fence keep the dog in, it keeps humans out.  If the humans go inside the fence, then its time for Justice to be served.

Never certain what I ate in Olongapo... I'm relatively certain that it was the beers that didn't quite agree with my digestive tract. :)

Who can do such a thing?
"So live your life that the fear of death can never enter your heart.
Trouble no one about their religion;
respect others in their view, and demand that they respect yours.
Love your life, perfect your life, beautify all things in your life." - Chief Tecumseh

Pigs are smarter than dogs, why isnt it outrageous that millions are killed?

I say eat any animal you want as long as it aint your kind.

I think I've eaten both cat and dog, not really sure- but it definitely was NOT chicken!!!

Couple basement restaurants I went to - tried each one, just once - had an amazing lack of stray animals digging through their dumpsters, unlike the neighboring food places.

Unless you see the place making your food kill a chicken or pig to serve to you, chances are pretty high its something that was cheaper (free).
