Killshooter is back on
« on: June 18, 2003, 03:34:28 PM »
I turned killshooter back on in the arena.
I expected folks to get shot accidentally occasionally.
What I did not expect was someone purposely killing a countryman just for kicks, or for immersiveness.

My bad, not anticipating that players would exploit that feature.  We have the duelling arena and training arena if you wanna shoot another green plane.

My apologies to those who were negatively affected by killshooter being off.

It will not happen again in a setup of mine, ever.

but.. but... what about those negatively affected by the rampant milking?

personally i think k/s off is a nice dweeb control tool to control the dweeb tools.

it's not like it's a rampant thing, being seriously abused.

but hey, it's your setup.

:D

and proof that whining works. score one for the geldings!

uh yeah thanks.   I was refering to your post about it being "abused". I had just got off another thread and thought it was funny to hear you say that. Keep up the good work. I think you getting some where.

Sorry to hear that eddick.

How about you leave it on and when someone becomes abusive and you have proof ban them from the CT for a month?

I have seen more than one thread that 80% or more would prefer the killshooter off. Don’t let just a few spoil it for the whole barrel of monkeys.

i guess it all depends on how you define "abuse."  i linked you to a thread that shows clearly, "abuse."

but of course, having to actually stop and *think* as opposed to "see shane, must defend lamer buddy,  hump ankle" would be expecting too much?

It's perfectly clear, Slash.

When Curtiss-Hawk gets in a tank and spawns and attacks the enemy HQ ... and keeps attacking it even if nobody shows up to defend it. That's bad. That's lame. That's a trend we don't want to see in the game.

When Shane spawns in a tank and frags C-Hawk for doing that. That's good. That's right. It's justified. It fixes everything. The AH CT universe is once again in harmony and balance.

It just don't get no clearer than that. With maybe the exception of mud. ;)

Can we just let all this drop?  What's done is done.

Let's stop the arguing and bickering.

Errr ... what I meant to say is ....

Why can't we just all get along?!

Huh?

After all, Shane is really just a brilliant albeit misunderstood AH virtual prodigy that just has trouble expressing himself because of his Teurets syndrome and C-Hawk is just a hot-headed good ol' boy who sometimes let's the heat of the moment pop his gasket.

This too shall pass. And get flushed. And nevermore will such things arise in the AHBB.

;)

I love you all. Can I have your beers? :D

Is that like some sort of traditional ritual, Drunky? You know ... gotta post the word "amazing" or "wow" in a thread before it get's locked to draw power from it or sumpin'?

Hehe ...

j/k :D
