yes the g10 was similar, but I loved the k4 of airwarrior
not that they had it exactly right maybe.
I just miss the confidence i had in its spriraling split s's and then a loop over rope kill.

No units that did not see operational use in WWII.

The Meteor Mk III was in service and saw operational use in WWII.  Thus it is valid and not a "what if" plane.

The Meteor III flew ground attack missions as part of the 2TAF over Germnay in '45.  Also on 17 April '45 a Meteor III destroyed a Fieseler Storch over Germany after forcing it to ditch and then strafing it (it must count for something surely:D ).  Meteor III's also had a tangle with 190's until some spits arrived and opened fire on the Meteors forcing them to break off.

oooo...bring the Meteor mk III to Aces High.:)

Ok bring the Meteor Mk III, it'll be minced meat against a 262 anyway :D

Than there are far more planes desirving to be added than I thought, cool :)

Ramzey! The Me410 might very well be a good turner in AH, just look at all other twins like the 110 and Mossie :D

Meteor III had excellent range (1340 miles) reason they were kept in england was as you said - to defend against V1's.

After the allies over-run all the V1 sites within striking distance of england, the meteors were sent into Belgium in early 1945 as defence against 262's.  No 262's were found so the meteor was used as a ground attack a/c.

I would like to see it in AH, it would make a nice alternative to the 262.  Although not as fast i would prefer to use it as i hate the 30mm on the 262. 4 hispano's are much better :)

If they didn't see combat then they shouldn't be in this game.

The Meteor III did see combat, it should be added as an opponent to the Me-262. Let's not forget who invented the damned jet engine, and it wasn't the bloody Germans (or Swedes).

Yeah we need allied Jet plane. The only reason that Meteor didn't shot any LW planes down that is that in the end of the war LW almost didn't exist due to absolutly supriority of allied air forces. Most of german planes had no fuel to fly. So the number of Mustangs, Thunderbolts and Spitfires was enoght to prevent from LW planes to fly. Only Me262 could get to hunderds B17, B24 and Lancaseters with cover Mustangs, Thunderbolts and Lightings.

I feel that the only Allied jets that would be appropriate would be the Meteor Mk I and Meteor Mk III.  The Meteor Mk I's performance is so poor it would be useless.  The Meteor Mk III would be useful though.  While not as fast as the 262 it is still faster than any other Allied fighter of WWII.

Add the Meteor Mk III and the He162 and all of the WWII jets will have been included in AH.  Add the Ohka "Baka" flying bomb and all WWII piloted rockets will have been included.

I would feel comfortable with all aircraft that "saw combat" or were "in production and deployed" as being valid for a WWII sim.

That said, I would much rather see other aircraft than any more jets or rockets.  The Ki.84-I-Ko, I-16-24, Me410B-2 and Mosquito FB.Mk XVIII would all be very fun things to see in my opinion.

All i can say is if they added some of the crap thats in the new BF1942 add on id quit the same day!

have you seen the BF1942 add on? lol it has JET PACK soldiers!? what are those marketing men/programmers thinking?

I like seeing unusual aircraft in AH but not at the expense of 'less spectacular' but more common types. Id rather have seen a sherman than the tiger for instance but hey now we have the tiger im certainly not unhappy to see it.
The same thing applies to any of the rare types mentioned in here. The do 335 was a fantastical looking aircraft its true but i really wouldnt want to see it added when we dont have..er... say, the earliest fw190 or a Wellington or beaufighter or even yes the lowly Brewster! :)

If i had to say an aircraft i dont rellish being added id haveto say the meteor or shooting star or any allied jet but only because id rather AH steer away from the final moments of the war.Im interested, just at the moment mind you, in the early fighters that each country fielded just as hostilities broke out. The performances were pretty close for each country and its an era of aircraft ive never seen in any game.
