That's the name of the band and I also remember the movie too.

Oh yes that is what we lack in the West Boroda.

We need some authority to tell us a) what art is and b) what we like and want to hear.

The capitalist system may not be perfect BUT, if there is a demand, there'll be a supply.

Beats being force fed a predefined set of 'art'. It is a sad day when a very small group of people decide what is 'art' and what is good and sets the standard for everything that is created.

Art, by its very nature, cannot be fixed. Art is inherently individualistic in the sense that it appeals to something in the individual primarily. if many individuals like it it may be seen as non individualistic, but it is a result of resonance in many individuals, not resonance in a collective.

And this coming from a guy who basically loathes 'art'.

Heh, also from that post:

"In fact many jazz records were printed in bigger quantites then the Beatles and other popular music. There were even more classic records. Noone bought them, so you could get them for 1/20 of retail price after they spent 3-5 years in stores... But musicians got all possible support and rewards, and their concerts were always sold out."

So his point is....?

Hehe, some people start to think about what I posted :)

Santa, it's funny that when I'm trying to be ironic - most of the people here think I am serious...

What do you think I listened to in Soviet times?

What do you think is better for mental health - Jazz music or Eminem or whoever is jumping and screaming on MTV now?...
