How do I get a Tiger made out of rubber?

Has this happened to anyone else?
Base 173 was getting attacked by a Tiger so I spawn one of my own to defend.  Loaded full AP and started hitting him at 1700 yards from the second shot on.  I hit him with more than 40 shots before a bomber killed me with all but one bouncing off in different directions.  I have seen plenty of shots go right through vehicles when under 400 yards but this was pretty silly.  I have a film but it only shows it from the drivers seat for some reason.  WTF?

Ya,

I was hitting the thing virtually everywhere and watching the rounds bounce in all sorts of directions.  Even track shots just bounced to the side.  I have killed many Tigers with both Tigers and Panzers before.  What gets me is the pure number of times and places I hit this bugger and all but one shot bounced.  And that is with using a Tiger myself.

Try BF Goodrich, rubber tank dept.

GV Armor in AH seems to be oddly complicated compared to the aircraft damage model...

The angle you hit the armor at, as well as the precise spot make a huge difference.

A tip, use HE to knock out his tracks,  then the list usuallly gives you a much better angle for a kill-shot. (And makes it that much harder for him to hit you)

Rule of thumb with tigers I've learned to live with.

Any Tiger you spawn is made of paper..

Any Tiger you attack is the real thing..




Never fails... but  I sill love burning the perks.
