Is the H2H host coded differently than the main host? Couldn't the testing have been done in there where the numbers could have been controlled and password protected? Surely there's some sort of alternate host HTC could set up strictly for testing purposes. I'd be willing to bet there's one set up somewhere right now for AH2.

You could set up a H2H arena and do the testing there but you'd have to make sure the host is honost enough to use the same arena settings as the MA. It's a mute point now since the map is now in regular rotation.
