I love the exploding planes in other sims. This is one place I would gladly trade realism for fun. It is very dramatic, and satisfying to have a con blow up right on your nose and roll through the fire ball. It also has the big advantage of stopping anyone from stealing you kill as it flutters to the ground.

We have always planned for those effects.  They just haven't been implemented yet.

Hehe TT..

Since you ALT F4 when hit, your plane will never blow up,i will never see debris coming from your plane. I am amazed you even brought this up.

2x last night TT, not impressed..

I was over, I think F7 last night.

I was a Rook and we had captured F7 from the Bishops.

A bishop B-17 went low, and I was racing to intercept.

Ack got him from the other side, and took off his wing.

I watched at the plane rolled off on the other wing, and did a tight spriral into the ground.

there was a large explosiong, then plume of dust.

Then as I flew over I saw the crater.

I WAS TRULY AMAZED!!!!

If I would have expected anything like that, I would have taken several screen shots to post, as it was, I was dumbfounded, and din't react, until the crater dissapeared.

Hmmm.. is this the first admission of Alt F4 dweebing I've seen on a newsgroup??

TT, beta or not, some actions are just unacceptable.  I would have expected you to know that after your time in WB.  Maybe that's why you stayed in the Relaxed Realism arena.

You were known as 'easymo' in Warbirds, weren't you?

 1. AOl is famous for dumping you out of a game repeatedly. If you check back a couple of days, you,ll find a post by me requesting the name of a good ISP.

2 Yes. My name was easymo in brand W.

 3. Jekyll. People like you are what ruined the main arena for me and many of my friends there.

If you use AOL then you need to go to  www.tpasoft.com  and get 'The Terminator T-32'.  It costs $5 but it does a wonderful job killing all the the 'idle' & '45 minute warning' windows that pop up.  It also has other cool functions to help maintain a steady connect with AOL.
