Yep, she was way ahead of her time. One of the strongest lead female actors ever.

I can't believe she lived as long as she did, considering she was a smoker. Must've had good genes.

Funny that someone should start a thread about her dying, but all the armchair politicians were silent about Strom Thurmond buying the farm the other day.

I liked Kate... but only when she was older.  Never cared much for her early work.

That's because there's not much to say about old Strom. As a segregationist/racist, he was an embarrassment to this country. Too bad he lived as long as he did.
