Hey how come I didnt see any volkswagens in the movie. What Golfs and GTIs are no match for ricers, not a fair shot or something?  You know VWs are dam fast also if you know how to mod them.

They destroyed every American Muscle Car in the movie.  I was amazed at the "Dude... those are big blocks... we don't stand a chance" line.

That Evolution is supposed to be one sweet ride though... with quite a bit of room for HP improvement.  500 hp is supposed to be pretty easy to achieve with one.

Anyways... the movie was stupid... the acting was horrible... the racer chick looked like she'd been hit in the face with a shovel then given botox injections... and the cars were too pimped out unless you consider 500 lbs of stereo equipment necessary for drag racing.

Some nice steel in there... but they destroyed it all.

VW are pieces of ****...supposedly in a Golf GTI there is a "chip" you can buy that adds 150 HP...that is the most BS I've ever heard in my life. Supposedly if adds more gas when you floor it...w/e man...my friend has a GTI and he thinks he is pimp of the road, but my other friend in a stock civic with just exaust and body kit smoked him, there wasn't even a chance.

Hellcat - the aftermarket possibilties for a factory FI (forced induction) engine (GTi 1.8T for example) are far greater than an NA (Normally/Naturally Aspirated) 1.8L (Civic Si for example).

An ECU upgrade (chip) will realisticly get you about 35HP to the wheels (~50 crank) just buy upping boost and fuel pressure.

Downpipe, bigger intercooler, etc.  You can pump out over 300 HP at the crank if you know what youre doing before a turbo swap.

WTF are you gonna do with a Civic?  Throw a fart can on it and tint the windows?

Good luck getting that thing over 200HP/NA with bolt ons.

Little Japanese economy cars are just that.  Little Japanese economy cars.  

If you like autos from the land of the rising sun and need to go fast - get yourself a Supra, STi, EVO or an Rx7 - dont waste money on kids toys.

The only thing that's going to come out of this movie is more Hondas with 6 ft. spoilers on their trunks. If it's going to look fast, then please make it somewhat fast. I came up next to a ricer kid in his Honda the other day and I asked him if his car was fast. He said no, it just looked fast. His honesty is what most "riced out" cars are. Why spend a bunch of $$$ on spoilers, body kits and fart cans when your car isn't going to go any faster.
