In about an hour of flying I saw three me262s. Basically one over every furball . Is that the norm now ? Pretty sad if it is .

Me262s ruin dogfights.

You can't fight when there is some moron up above you in a 262 because as soon as you stop paying attention to the 262 idiot he comes screaming through and kills you.

If you don't stop paying attention to him you cannot effectively fight and if he does come screaming through, you and all your friends have to drop what you were doing and break turn.  Couple that with the fact that friendly idiots will abandon reason and chase after it even though they can't hope to get it means that the 262 creates a huge advantage for the enemy even if he never lands a single round himself.

262s suck.

I wasn't opposed to the idea of jets being introduced to the game because I thought that they would be a rarity .

Three 262s in an hour.  How many other planes did you see?

Well not that it's relevant but I guestimate about 50, and 3 of them were jets . I was on again last night and saw some more 262s . I never anticipated that they would be encountered with such frequency as they are now. For me it's sad to see that the fantasy arena has become even more fantastic .

There should be a separate Arena for those who want to fly and fight jets.   Then everyone would be happy.  Wizer

I never fly a jet, except a 163 to defend HQ sometimes (and yes, I know it's a rocket, guys--let's use "jet" to refer to really, really, really fast reaction-motor driven fighters).

And they do have an effect on the low fight, what with their screaming down into the furball and picking off a victim.

But the damned things can't turn, don't climb very fast (except in the zoom), and those 30mm howitzers are only useful to guys that spend a LOT of time learning how to use them.

I checked my stats, and I am 3 and 9 vs 262s in the MA since February.  There are a LOT of planes that worry me more than that.

The key to defeating any alt monkey is communication.  Talk it up, tell the whole world where he is and what he's doing.  We all know that NO 400 mph fighter can turn with ANY plane going 250 mph.

Havent been killed by a 262 yet and prolly never will be.

If you just have abit of SA and knows how to move your stick in at least one direction you can avoid em.... Of course if you go afk then they can get you but so can anyone else

Me262 have just as much reason to be in the MA as any other plane.  It would be rather idiotic to only have them in a 'Jet Only' arena.  Besides, Me262 attacks are easy to avoid.

Learn to use the guns and learn how deflection shots and enemies who try and avoid you won't be able to :)

I fly it whenever I feel there are too many Nikis and LA7's in an area, it's a nice plane to hunt down dweebs in.
