I appreciate the technical beauty of night.  Hitech really did a nice job and as someone involved with computer science, I can understand the urge to share one's creation with others.

Twlight is equally cool.

Having said this, I can't see crap at twilight and if I'm stupid enough to get involved in a fight, yup, I usually fly into the ground.

I *ALWAYS* log at the onset of twilight.  Sometimes I do come back at dark -- it's very pretty and I can fly a buff.

I would be willing to increase my monthly tithe to Aces High if they would decrease the amount of time spent in twilight as we segue into darkness.

I like the ground, but hell, it's not fun pronging yourself nose first in the dirt.

I have same problem curly. I've augered numerous times in tight fight. I now log. No doudt it looks great but with my bad eyes and target fixation tendencies I just say no to night.

Night time and twilight are cool.  If you are having problems running into the ground, try doing this:  Maintain situational awareness.  Establish a hard deck of say 3000ft and don't go below it.

Why ask HTC to remove a cool feature just because you forget to check your altitude and surroundings?

I say: "Keep the night!"

The clip board needs it's own light source.

The IFR stuff only works if you have a good topographic map to navigate by

I agree.  Think of it as an oppertunity to make the other guy eat dirt.

You guys are willing to give up the realism of day VFR fighters engaging each other in the middle of the night??????

I may die more often at night/twilight. But the fights I win I remember longer & enjoy more!

Think of it as a challenge that keeps AH from getting stale.

What really messes me up is flying over the ocean into a furball, getting my up's & downs reversed. I know twice I've splashed the bad guy & rolled inverted to grab alt. Pulled right into that ol blue ocean!

You guys just don't get the point here. The ones saying they want twilight reduced or removed don't like it. Therefore no one else should have it. Now get with the program! (pun intended) If you don't like something just deny everyone else the use of it!

Kinda like denying people flying during the daylight because some think night-time is "cool" despite the fact that you are really just fighting icons?

I get it!  Do you?

S!

Night is same as Ju88 or Ar234 to me   Fighting at twilight is pretty fun actually.Much easier to get maneuver kills. But it is imperative to keep a minimum alt U never ever go under unless in  critical situation...
