Good News for Furballers!!
« on: July 01, 2003, 11:54:59 AM »
Something went crazy in my Thrustmaster Cougar, so I won't be upping bombers to sink CV's and pork bases for a while.

For some reason, the trigger actuates when I pull to far back on the stick. *shrugs*

I'm gonna be on gooney duty for a while, so your airfields and CV's are safe..for the moment.;)

You're right laz, all the experten use only a mouse cuzz we like the challenge. ;)

Don't worry Muckmaw, we'll sink twice our usual number of Carriers, destroy twice the number of strat and kill twice the number of hangers but we'll make up for it while you're gone. :D

btw, gl with your stick and give me a shout sometime when you get back into your bombers.
Easy in-game again.

Thats the problem with thrust master they build crap. After dozens of their junk I switched to CH. Its the only way to fly.
Funny my very first stick was a CH products. Back when I was flying falconAT. When I started with AW I needed a hat switch so I bought a thrust master. Then it broke so I bought another and so on and so on and so on!
Then I bought a CH it still works 3 years later and who knows how many gazzillion hours it works like the day I first installed it go figure.

I'm amazed that I'm still flying the old TM flight system with the topgun flightstick.

Third stick, same throttle and pedels for 5 years and a bizillion hours.

CH for Christmas and hopefully some simped pedals. Hope the old TM system can hang for another six months.

Well I must say the TM pedals and throttles never had a problem. The sticks on the other hand dont last at all. The pots get dirty and start spiking.

Listen, Ace...Say whatever you want about my kids, my car, me or my dog, but don't you dare talk about my cougar!

That's it, Ice! Time for you and me to have it out in the Dueling Arena! I choose the p-51 as I know this is your weak plane!

:D

Seriously, the stick is fine now. Seemed to have something to do with excessive heat in the room.

I really can't complain about TM. I had a TM F-16 FCS for 3 years. No problems. Went to Saitek. No problems. Finally, I've had the cougar and the Elite pedals for a year now and they've been really good.

Yeah, I've noticed that Ice.

Where the hell ya been?

Out wait...it's motorcycle season or something, isn't it?

What did I tell you about that real world stuff?

TOD orders came in. Looks good this week. P-40s!

Should be fun.

BTW, did you notice who was ace of the squad last time out?

Shows what happens when you blend a crappy pilot with a crappy plane. Apparently, it's a working combination.

Now if only I can get a sopwith camel in here, I'd be a god.

I loved tmaster stuff... the sticks had some good springs and were shaped right... Had to give em up... killed one every 6 months or less... No way was I gonna get suckered into a cougar..

Went to CH... wimpy srings and all... did I say wimpy?  wimply is polite... surprised they stay in neutral by themselves... Ran a deck screw down in four spots midway between the corners and stretched 3 1/2" by 1/2" rubber bands between these deck screws and the stick base... 2 per axis, 8 total.  Now the stick feels great.  And.... It is 2 years old and not so much as a spike much less anything broken.... CH trottle and tmaster rudders.

I still use the old, original CH Flightstick, the one with only two buttons. It's cheap, and works fine. I also use the same set of CH Pro Pedals I bought back in 1995--never had a problem with them.
