Was there last year.  Freakin amazing.  You guys on that side of the pond sure know how to put on an airshow.  And how to run an air museum, too.

Still trying to get all my pictures from that airshow scanned :D

Probably definitely going. It was amazing to see the Yaks flying a couple of years ago - but that flying La-9 will be awesome.

Tarmac, they are building an all new American Air Museum hangar there to replace the current one - it's supposed to be much bigger. Which is saying something, considering the current one has a B52 and a B17 in it :):

A new one besides the current tapered-hangar thingie with the glass memorial panes around it?

Where will it go?

When I was there, it looked like they were remodelling the current one by replacing the main glass face.

Strange. I'm sure I saw plans for an extended building at some point, but I can't find any info about it on their website.

I remember the current building being hyped as "new" in the brochures when I was there.  Could have been old brochures, or it could have been recently built.  It's been there a couple of years... I remember one of my friends describing it to me 3 or 4 years ago.

But it'd be nice if they'd make it a bit bigger, so you could walk between the planes and really look at them.

No. But my bro (Swoopy) and I will probably be going and we will have a digital camera - I'll take a few snaps.

Trying to decide whether take my dad and surprise him with gold passes to the display.

1930's Nimrod

This is the July picture on my Ghosts Calendar. I'm wondering what a Nimrod means to you all in GB, cause I would hate to be called a Nimrod here in the States.
