FUN for all the family........
« on: July 03, 2003, 01:42:01 PM »
Ok its summertime in england and as the sun beams in through the windows and lights the dark corners of our hovels we decide to throw open the door to the garden and the windows!!

Summer is great!

Then the damn flies start to appear! not in swarms like some places in the US! :) but just 2 or 3 of the basts!! they fly straight to the light hanging in your living room and fly endless orbits of your lampshade..When you go to swipe them they zip out of the way or the fold up thier wings and drop like a stone! cleverly avoiding your futile swipes with the newspaper!!!

OK this is where the fun begins :D ...go get yourself a big bag of elastic bands! set yourself up somewhere comfortable and start shooting those flies! :) lol if you get good at it you can kill them in mid flight! also when you do kill them as they land on the lightshade they splat REAL GOOD :) hehe

Its like deflection shooting! aim ahead of them and lead yer shots!! :)

my tip: use big elastic bands! ;)

As I`m a no-sk1ll3r, I use my 1500W Vacuum cleaner. Light up the room, and suck the mothers in ;)

As an alternative to killing them, you can put them to work...

I used to use the rubber bands that my father used to secure the wings of his radio controlled planes to the fuselage.  They were think and really powerful.

I was told to stop because there were black and red splotches all over the ceilings of our house.

lol sandman...i saw another one that actually had 6 flies..3 attached to each wing.  Cruel as hell...but flies are gross and come from maggots...so I guess they deserve it.  ;)

If you don't mind the residual damage,..a 12 guage double barrel shotgun works well.

Then there's this little handy gadget someone got me for Fathers day...

I love listening to a big ole' moth sizzle...

And don't listen to the BS about it being safe for humans...

You should have seen the look on my fathers face when I "tested" it out on him.

Yes Skuzz, but I don`t uderstand where the damgage would play a part. I use this technique often starting in late spring and it provides ventilation all through the summer.
I heard Laz was putting in a request to get the bug zappers moved closer together. :D
I personaly find the little short winged ones that fly way down low, (about ankle high), fun to watch because they just attack each other  over and over again. Quite a joke to the fly world.
   ;)
