Terrorist act on Moscow rock festival
« on: July 05, 2003, 11:25:35 AM »
Look at the online news.

At least 16 killed.

Yesterday comrade Putin approved the Chechen president election date with Chechen represetatives. That's the way they react on "democracy".

Damn. I thought about going to that concert at Tushino airfield...

Usuall useless "security measures" will annoy all Moscowites for next several weeks...

I think I heard the explosions, I live across the channel from Tushino. Thought it was something in the Northern river port, there are always strange sounds there...

Bastards. Sending women and calling them "shahid"... The mosque at the Moscow Great Patriotic War memorial is called a "Shahid Mosque", because in 1942 Soviet Moslims declared "gazavat" against nazis. Now Chechen bastards use the same word for terrorists...

Sad that another Terrorist Attack was allowed to occur. Perhaps Russia will persue them with the vengance that the U.S. has.
My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives.

lol Too funny.

You have heard of Grozy? You did see the reports of the artillery bombardments that killed tens of thousands of civilians?

You're inadvertantly doing the US a disservice by that comment.

Wontonly and indescriminately razing whole population centers, like Grozny, is not a terribly effective way to stop terrorists or partisans....  If anyone should have learned that by now it's the Russians considering how their experiences with German occupation turned out in the end.

So the US was carpet bombing Baghdad with B52s, rpm? How about Kabul? Surely that is what you are suggesting, if you think the Russians have anything to learn from US anti-terrorist approach. You've got them completely arse over tit in the brutality stakes.

Killing innocent civilians to get at a paramilitary group only strengthens the support for them. That is a lesson that can be learnt from the French experience in Spain in 1809, for example, to the present day.

terrorism will never be wiped off the face of the earth. it has always been with us(just in different names) and always will. As long as there there is islam, or massive inequalities in a  nation there will be terrorism. Only real solution is to find out why they are strapping bombs on themselves for the purpose of killing their fellow human beings, and deal with that. maybe if they didnt level grozny they wouldnt have these problems. let them have there democracy and when they run it into the ground in a few years they will be asking russia for reunification.

of course the other option is to get some education to those people so they will realize blowing themselves up will not work, but ghandi and ML kings form of terrorism does work.

Dowding, what does any of that have to do with Russians stopping the idiots that bombed the concert crowd? Oh, I forgot...the US probably did that, too. If you are so deeply moved by Iraq's situation, why are'nt you IN IRAQ trying to make it better?

US Vengeance - human right violations and political isolationism.
Something which US has for ages fought against.
