I was reading several posts where people are complaining of gameplay etc getting repeatative and boring and how the longer between updates the worse it seems.

Well ive got to ask HTC would it be possible after 1.05 to maybe give us small updates once a month? I realise ive just probably made you think 'amazinhunk what does he know'  
but i really think it would be in your interest to try to give us 'something' new each month.eg.
A new map (possibly supplied by us not htc?)
a new aircraft(! sorry i know this involves a lot of work) or even a slight variation on a present aircraft (eg 30mm without mg's)
a new skin for present aircraft..i know this is not going to affect gameplay but we are a strange breed and we all have favourite designs (finnish markings,desert schemes,special historical squad markings)

I only suggest this because i dont know how the programming timetable works.But this is not my fault,I only know what i read.
1.05 sounds fantastic and i REALLY am looking forward to it.I dont wish to sound ungrateful, i just would like to know HTC's thoughts on whether they will make such a big change for next /future updates?
I personally think that if it was possible the introduction of the 2 new planes due in 1.05 at an earlier stage would have kept me happy for a long while.I have read that introducing planes was not possible but how did the p47 arrive by surprise? please explain.
I think the ships etc is a great move but could you not have taken longer to introduce such large changes whilst each month or so throwing us (GREEDY BASTS) a bone or two in the form of aircraft/loadout changes etc?
please tell me to go jump if im out of order HTC its just a personal view.

Just one skin a month for the present plane set (for historical scenarios mostly but the change of view would probably help the main arena stagnation too!   ) is all I ask! (granted it also probably takes the most time too)

Hazed,  I believe HTC is putting everything into getting 1.05 out.  Which is understandable.  Everything will be fine.

Hazed you did a great job at A3 and A7 tonite in those Jabo's we did!!  Now that was fun!!!

I think 1.05 started out fine, and then the task grew and grew and grew...  The HTC crew are pouring their energies into getting it done for Xmas I'd bet  (either that or on a sunny beach somewhere havin drinks with umbrellas in em..)
My guess 1.05 is and may well be the single largest update to AH yet, and maybe for along time to come too.
Depending on how much work will be required to add destroyers and LVT's I predict we'll see and hear alot more from the HTC crew once 1.05 is released.  Small updates would be nice, dunno how practical that is though.

Player skins....  don't want them if we all have to download everyone elses when we login.  Tail colouring might work though +)

Relax all wait and see what Xmas brings (didn't wanna mention that Santa fello, we don't need him hijackin.. +)

 Actually to be honest I think they knew what they were getting into for 1.05 but the weak link is the patience of a number of the player base. We're getting spoiled. It's more than obvious. Pyro said after 1.05 is out they will be concentrating on pumping out planes.
 So all of you quit asking for some emmediate gratification here and go out and buy me Christmas presents.

Hi!

Well, good idea hazed. I'd like to see little updates more frequently too, but right now, HTC just puts so many things together for just one update, that I can well understand that it takes them much time.

But after 1.05 is released There might be some space for your suggestions. I for one would like to have the ability to add new skins to planes.
It would not be practical to DL every skin every user made online though. My suggestion on that matter is that the ID of the skin is transferred by the server, and when the client does not have that skin already it will not be DL'ed but the client uses the skin the player selected as default for the appropriate plane.
Then there could be some kind of exchange server where everyone could DL the skins others have contributed and he'd like to see every now and then. By this way the bandwith is kept relatively low (only ID of skin is to be transferred extra) and one could avoid seeing pink Sissyfires all the time  

Just a thought.

actually I just meant skins made by Nate and Super for the current plane set to diversify things.

Dontcha get tired of seeing the same old skin? Specially in formations during historical scenarios, etc. A few green 17's in a mass formation would sure help the immersion factor

Good plan jigster.  I dunno how much time and effort it takes to do a skin for a model such as we have in AH.  (i did some for SAC (aw3))
If we had say 2 or 3 skins for each AC to choose from it would be lovely +)
Might also help by adding different country markings for aircraft that were used by more than one country.
(not hi on my priority list, but will always be on it)
