Sometimes it's really bloody hard to pick out the line or two from the guy you just shot down, I miss it quite a lot.  I don't want to squelch ch 1 cos I'd miss all of it but when ch1 is busy it's just too easy to miss stuff.



How about, when anyone types your handle on ch1, your handle is highlighted in the text on your FE only?


Like for example, if someone typed "Swoop were you the F4U or the P51?" then in the grey mass of text that is ch1 the word Swoop would be highlighted in say...white, for me only.  So I'd immediately notice this line of text in amongst all the grey.

On second thought ferget the 'whole line' idea, not very practical when you consider multiple Channels.

I never tune channel 1 but you've always had the option to message someone direct with just their callsign.  I've done that on occasion.

Well if the first time he ignores you then try again typing his full handle which will be highlighted for him.  If he still ignores you then he probably just doesnt like you.
