This was a great idea and the implementation is flawless.  I have it mapped to a button on my HOTAS setup and it is so nice to be able to look at a friendly and hit the button and give him a warning.  I can't tell you how many times I've been saved by this feature and how many times I've saved a friendly.  A very creative solution to and it works!

This Check six! call is soo nice. I also put it to my  X36 usb HOTAS and so easy use any time!

But

Its feel like peoples are litlebit lazy to use 6 calls or is it just me?

And

Lag and PLs could ruin up whole thing. Guy to who you send Check 6 call could be dead allready. I have get some calls loong after peaces, smoke and flames :-/

Any way

Thanks to everybody who has send Check 6 calls to me!

<S>

I have mixed feelings on the "Check six" function.

It is great when someone uses it to save my but, or I use it to save theirs.

However, I can't count how many times I've been chasing a bandit for the kill when someone tosses me a "check six". When I look back, there is nothing there but empty sky and then the bandit has the oppurtunity to escape while I am not looking.

Also, it makes it very tough to bounce anyone, especially when the sky is full of bandits. It is so easy for them to call over so that the potential target has more time to maneuver out of the way.

It is surely a needed feature, I just wish my enemies were not allowed to use it

Spot on funked! Much better, easier to use than what we had over there. I use it all the time. Nice job HiTech.

...but more importantly, with the 6-call I can scare the crap out of StSanta and Kirin.

Saves my hide every night more times than I care to remember.

Besides, it's handy to scare the crap out of squad members who might be thinking about stealing my kills.   JK dogs

What about a "on my way" or "you are on your own" message ?

and a special "NikiUFODweeb come and get some" ?   for taunting the others ?

I'd prefer a "better prepare your 'UFODweeb' macro for use" call.

LOL Camo, I remember VERY vividly how you called 6 on me when i was low and slow in my 109, climbing a bi.

I immediately kicked hard rudder left, full aileron left, a tad bit of elevator for good measure and exectued an "on the edge of stall and death" rolling maneuver that I only pulled up from a few yards off the ground.

Then I look in buffer:

<Camo>"Hihi"

More often than not the check6 is very good. Some times, friendlies use it to STEAL your kills - you're onto an enemy, the dweeb behind you realizes you'll get him before he does, so he calls your 6; you either check (and might lose sight of the enemy) or break hard. At any rate, the friendly dweeb will now have a good chance of stealing yer kill.

Or, as Camo, you scare the toejame outta me and kirin

I love sneaking up on squadies and firing a few rounds past their canopy and then hitting Check 6 a few times.

LOL Beefcake....that is the best feature of the CHeck6 call!

Still remember the first night I was flying after it was implemented.  We had a little Check6 war going on to see who could flood the buffer the quickest.
