He takes his Vette into a body shop to have a bumper installed and painted, then a tech takes it out for a joy ride and flips it! Pics included in the thread above.

I think the only salvagable parts of that car are the driver's side wiper arm, the passenger side indicator light, at least two rims, the lug nuts, the radio knobs, the driver's window glass and its electric window motor.

Insurance will probably give him the blue book and he can sue the shop for the difference to pay off the loan.

I liked one guy's suggestion:

Wow, I hope you get a new Z out of the deal.

Mate of mine dropped his Ducati 916 in for a service one time......the mechanic high sided it on the test ride after the service was done.   Took the bike through a store window.

However, this was a v small local bikers garage and my mate is a 6'4" 300lb bouncer.  They kept the bike for 3 months while they repaired everything and loaned him a Fireblade while he waited.

:D

We usually nickname those type of friends "Lil' guy" here in the states. :D  Funked could take him, 6'4" and 300 is small for America...

CPT FUnkypants, I can't help it if they don't make it in SuperSize. Don't project your frustration on having to drive a 4 door and pretend its a sports car on me.
