Was outside for merely 1 hour tuesday without a shirt on cutting grass. I recieved what is probably the worst sunburn of my entire life (or at least the most painful). Benadryly and tylenol settled the pain for the first two days, but today was a different story. My back was itching and burning with pain so bad that I didn't know what to do. Finally I got drunk and that seemed to help the pain subside.
So while surfing the web, heres some stuff I found out about sunburns:
UV radiation can cause DNA to mutate (which can lead to skin cancer).
Wearing sunglasses while in the sun can cause a person to get a sunburn (gland associated with tanning is connected to vision).
There is a hormone that can make a person tan without even being in the sun.
The aftermath of a nuclear war would cause the o-zone layer to be destroyed, causing horrendous sunburns on any plant or animal exposed to the sun.
