Are there any AHers out there interested in forming a Player's Association for Star Wars Galaxy?  The bennies are:  Free training in skills from other members, custom items from the artisans, top access to medical treatment, and, or course, instant community.

I envision AH club houses on every planet, with their own entertainers and medics, where AH players can meet to gain exp, learn tips and tricks, harvesters that all player members have access to, and player missions with lots of soldiers, battle droids, and trained animals.

Name of the association, server (possible Bria), and/or faction allegiance to be determined later.  I'm just looking into any interest in this idea. I know at least one of the guys at HTC is into it.

Grunherz - basically you pick a race, pick a profession, and try to become expert at it.   The game is run off of various terminals where you bank, get missions, travel between place, and craft items.

For instance, one of my characters in an artisan, human.  I go out into the wilderness and get resources like steel, petroleum, and ore.  Then I take those items and make a pistol which I can use, give away, or sell.  I get experience for all these things.  Eventually I'll be able to make battle droids, build houses, and set up harvesters to do all the hard work.

Other professions are more exciting - you can be a marksman, scout, bounty hunter, or dancer/musician.

Eventually, you can choose to fight on the side of the Empire or the Rebels and then you'll get missions to fight the opposing side.

That's a nutshell view, there's alot to it (and alot wrong with it, I'll admit).

No.  The first expansion pack will introduce space flight but you still have to do that other crap in order to be able to get ships, or at least that's what the SWG FAQ says.  But the space flight/combat part will be a space sim and not that crappy auto-Evercrap-quasi-turn-based combat system.  But since I want to eventually fly an Advanced Tie Fighter for the Imperials, I'm putting up with that 'other stuff'.  But god, the combat system sucks.  Why couldn't they have made the combat system like Planetside instead of Evercrap?
