Author Topic: My best nite in AH besides the first time I killed lazs (Read 577 times)

The MA started off like any other nite for me , engage bad guy , bad guy shoots me down. The Bish were getting gang banged as usuall and for every con you engaged there was 5 waiting to make you pay for not paying attention.

The Tas was floating around 27 trying to get some of the higher cons to come down , it worked pretty good other than I constantly ended up in the tower with nothing to show for my smug come on chicken **** attitude towards all of em up there.

Tired off flying and dying found a good fite at CV13---10minutes later it got sunk and I'm stuck with nowhere to go and lottsa fuel and ammo.

I head straight for a swarm of red figuring to end it quik and log off to beat on my kids.

Well:) A Mossie gets on my 6 rite off , quik reversal and i'm on him , before I can pull the trigger a Niki comes out of nowhere and I have to break , same reversal and niki overshoots. Back on Mossie and kill it . Turned back into the Niki and used my new found merge tactic<<>>>and a few turns later I got him. In the meantime got jumped by a couple a P51's , about now my SA is real good for some reason , Couple a reversals later I got em in trouble , along comes a Hurricane. Kill one off the 51's and turn into the Hurricane but I have absolutely no E left. Put on 50 flaps,,FM2,, and start turning him.
The other 51 is Z&B while I am trying to stay inside the Hurricane.
On about the 3rd turn I manage to pull my nose up and snap shoot the 51.
I then go into scissor mode and manage to get the Hurricane to overshoot , he trys to slam on the brakes and prevent it and augers. Quik survey shows another 51 coming in , one last reversal snap shot and he snap rolled trying to make me miss and another auger.
RTB 6 kills and logged about as happy as a 6 year old at Christmas.
Salute to bad guys , sorry I didn't see your handles cause I was to busy. Those 51's were all game , yas coulda all played it different and got me if you wanted but chose to engage hard and made a fun fite out of it

Best night for me was killing you 2 times on a row with FM-2

Another was Killing Fester's P-51 with a KI-61 after he had killed me prior to that

Nice sax! Those insane sequence of events are very rare, but extremely rewarding

Very true...I have all these great ways to get guys off my six and all these aerobatic manuvers...but when someone comes at me and starts firing, I freeze up and forget them all...

It's the process of switching from a disadvantageous position to an advantageous one against an opponent.

In other words, it means going from the bad guy on your six to you on the bad guy's six.

Bad guy coming up behind you on your six; you pull a loop, or something similar, and he keeps going straight or can't turn as tight a turn as you so now you're on his six as he's trying to turn around or runaway.

Or, he's coming up on your six and you pull back on the stick into a sort of half-loop so that you're now facing him and he's facing you.

Nope , and yea it does suck . But like most of the exceptional times in my AH life I'm the only witness . Kinda if a tree falls in the forest thing.

Still , film or no film I'm happy:)

I really owe Slap one tho , after he kicked my butt he explained why quite simply. It was one of those things that made sense and helped rite off:)
