My gawd... this is so much fun to read... If you haven't acted as gamemaster, you should give it a try... the betrayal, the scorn, the lies, the bombast... it's all here.

This is one of the most fun Diplomacy games I've been involved with and I'm not even playing. :)

Here's the status today (Autumn 1902 (retreat)):

We still have some retreat orders to resolve. The Russian fleet in Sweden seems to have worn out it's welcome. No net loss to Russia because they did manage to eject the Austrian army from Vienna.

Fall 1902 moves:

Doh!

For you history buffs, this is what has happened before:

Summer 1902 (retreat):

Spring 1902:

Winter 1901 (build):

Fall 1901:

Spring 1901:

If you'll look just a little bit harder, or if you care to read the written orders you'll see that what you're calling a support order from Russia's Rumanian army to the advance on Vienna is actually an attack on Budapest (to cut any support order Budapest may give to its Vienna army...which as it turns out is what transpired... and I would have been unsuccessful in taking Vienna had I not done that).

Glasses can be found here.

Doh! Not sure how I drew that conclusion... Two voided orders... one from Austria and one from Turkey.

I think I understand how... it comes from sneaking peaks at the maps when I'm supposed to be working. :D

This game has taken on a bit more import than is actually good.  I don't eat right, don't sleep right,  I got a screen glare burn on my forehead.........:D :D :D

Actually, this email verison is much more difficult than the board game is.  I mean half the fun is watching when the other dude's facial reaction when he realizes he's been hosed again!  Now, all I can do to see that look is to get a mirror.   AAhhhhhhhhhgggg.  It ain't pretty.
