PII 400
384 RAM
56K modem

I have a

16MgB 3Dfx vooddoo banshees AGP card

and a

64MgB radeon 7000 AGP

which would you run, I know its sound stupid but I don't see much change.

second question.

If I increase refresh rate on the monitor will it increase the Fram Rate of game play

if yes how do I check refresh rate and how do I increase it?

In AH it's your processor that is holding you back, so either card may work as well.

If you have v-sync on, which you should, then yes your max FPS is tied to refresh rate.  To change refresh rate, right-click on desktop, click properties, click settings, click advanced, click monitor and change it.

The Radeon 7000 is a much faster card, but as said - your CPU is holding you back.

Yup, the p2 400 is brutally slow for AH. Even P3's struggle with the game. Shoot for a P4 or fast Athlon with DDR memory and an AGP slot. You don't need the fastest setup to get good frame rates, so you shouldn't have to spend a fortune for a decent system. A friend of mine finally ditched his p2 400 when we got to AH -- he now sports a P4 2.* gig system that is always rock solid. I am jealous, as my P4 1.8 gig system only has pc133 sdram memory :(  . Upgrade time is coming soon though.
