You don't watch friendlies flying close to you? I think don't want to fly near you IRL...

noone of simulatino game can give u same feeling of distance like in RL. Delay in data transmision not give u chance to react so fast as in RL or in host on lan play.

Same for both nme and friendlies.

Cuz noone can guarantie every player walking rules and care about his virtual life. We have many newbies without skills and knowlage about game. Normal noone let them fly without basic traning. How can u tell somone who not care, not pay and not care about score or good name fly thrue rules?
I pay for game and not wish to be ramed by any newbie flying my side. I pay for game and not like somone who ruine my game by his bad behaviour.

The concept of AH2 includes basic training. Also getting rammed by inexperienced new pilots isn't completely unreal and fits the planned immersion nicely.

Som of us like to fly on hardcore settings, how u explain all this dweebs on MA they should wait in trial for take off?

This is the AH2 forum, not MA-2.

Sorry you're talking rubbish - it means that you have to be more careful where and when you land and where and when you take off - if you want a more realistic sim then friendly collisions should be on.

basic traning is not enought to fly mission and formation flying
show me somone who after 30 min is able to do this and match skills of peples flying months or years here

Friendly collisions happen when both pilots are asleep at the yoke. I will not rely on someone else to have 100 eyes around his head. If someone enforces a collision that's fine with me, it'll get him booted back to boot camp.

Where did you get those 30 minutes from? I'm pretty sure the time required to complete the training mission depends on pilot skill, e.g. in case of failure you'll have to refly it.

Reread Fester's post: ..."if this was modelled full time in tod"... The question/suggestion was not about AH-classic.

Friendly Collisions...
« Reply #20 on: July 17, 2003, 03:44:23 PM »
Aye! You want realism, ya gotta have em'. I hope you don't consider yourself a flight-sim enthusiast if you don't want collisions. Remember in just about every modern conflict, more people die to friendly fire and mechanical failures than enemy action.

Freindly Collisions.
« Reply #21 on: July 17, 2003, 03:59:53 PM »
No Freindly collisions is a good idea, and is similar in vien to the reason for freindly fire. You don't have freindlies shooting each other down because of Kill SHooter, if freindly collisions were available then they dweebs would just ram ya instead of shooting.

I for one hate kill shooter and would like to see it go away. Null the effect of the fire, but don't kill for someone else flying in front of you.

My $.02

we should have FF too...
« Reply #22 on: July 17, 2003, 05:00:05 PM »
substituting gameyness for realism is a bad idea. I really doubt FF and collisions will be much of a problem in the TOD, quake style players won't play it anyways. I hope HTC realizes the core reason for their success has been realism.
