This watermelon has been around for years now. Same is with movies, they get some french black and white stuff and simply rename it with "LOTR-Two Towers" etc. I think its good that they do it, gives the Hollywood industry some false comfort, they prolly now think they have this internet problem solved.
The workaround for the scams is either be experienced user who can figure whether some file is suspicious or using e2dk links (
http://www.sharereactor.com). I use both methods, but my experience usually saves me from the scams. Thats why i can use Kazaa Lite for my music downloads, its still the best and fastest software around for <30mb downloads. Emule is for everything else and it supports the fantastic E2DK link system. Right now im downloading T3 with that method, 2 dvd quality CD:s and no worrying it would be scam since i got the link from Sharereactor. Emule is open source, so theres no worrying about spyware plus the engine is very innovative and versatile, new versions out every few weeks.
