The amount of work that people are putting into this new terrains is quite commendable.  Thankyou to everyone involved for that extra effort.

Aaah... the gentle, rolling hills of England.

BTW - are there any white cliffs at Dover?

Yeah!! You've got Hull on there - any chance you can put Sheffield on the map as well? It would be cool to fight over it - I could fly home for tea.

Sheffield IS on the map

And no, no white cliffs, but as soon as HTC gives us some more base textures there WILL be white cliffs on the map the next day

Hi Redwing!

Nice indeed!  BTW, I can see some airfields in the midlands area, have you put any of:- Cottesmore, North Luffenham, Woolfox Lodge, Melton Mowbray, Deenethorpe, North Witham, Wittering or Collyweston by any chance?  Just very local airfields to me!

Regards

Hey Duma,
Glad this have finally gone public   A big WTG Red. This map is fantastic, and I'd like to add my contribution to the screenshots.
The colour of the channel is spot on. Now you really wouldn't want to ditch in that would you   .

You're right Redwing!   That really is a great map. I took the purple dot to be Manchester.

The weather is a little better than we get over here. But I've always reckoned the British weather system is over-modelled.

Replicant the maps I've used to place the airfields just show their locations, so I have no idea if the fields you mentioned are on the map

If you can get ahold of a map showing the fields you mentioned email it to me and I'll try to add them.

One thing that might be interesting for you all (Duma forgot to mention it  ):
The map's scale is 1:1, so be prepared for long flights
Duckwing6 did some testing and told me that with good wind settings it is possible to reach the ruhr valley (industrial area in germany) in about 1 hour in a Lancaster. That makes 2 hours total flight time, so we can use the map for snapshot events although I HOPE that someday it'll be used for some kind of large scale event like Afrika Korps.

Well Evreux is on the right position
I've mistaken it with Louvier wich is a little north but beaumont le roger is missing it's 15 km south west of Evreux.

BTW I don't think you need to add those field wich where not in great use compared to Creil and others
