Map Rotation porked?

Consider this my first ever map whine. OK, I've been happy to fit in with the new map rotation policy. We all have our favourite maps and I'm no exception. I don't mind having maps I don't like so much, provided my favourite maps come around when they're supposed to.

Last week was Small Maps week. As I understand it, map rotation was to select the next small map in the cycle after each reset until Friday afternoon, when one of the big maps should have come online.

But that has not happened. I've just been online to find 360+ players there, with one of the small maps up. Usual overcrowded gameplay, usual choice: Vulch or be vulched. Do I join the 3-1 gangbang from 25 to 23, or do I try to defend 33 against the TYPH suicide fuel porkers and get nailed by the Spit-ix/P51/LA7 cherrypickers coming into the base at 2K and 400mph? Not my sort of game. Logged off instead.

I can guess what happened. My money says that a bunch of map whiners at the Con complained about Pizza/Trinity, and bullied HTC into putting up the small maps for another week to cover the con period. I'm p*ssed off about it.

Come on, guys. Gimme Pizza. Look on the bright side: If pizza is up, you won't see as much of me on the BBS.

Perhaps, just perhaps the people that reset the server for a map change are at the con and not in Texas?

Well gee beet THEY layed out the money, took the trip..

If you remember correctly the Pony wasn't "supposed" to be available for the 2000 WB con either.

It just appeared.

If I put up the money, flew 3/4's of the way across the states to set up my toybox and be greeted by pizza I'd be one pissed off mother..

ROFL!  Yes!!! I remember, and nearly mentioned it. The WB2000 con started by coincidence on Day 1 of the RPS - LOL - and there was much wailing and gnashing... My squaddie =varg= complained as our squad wanted P38s. I think they enabled all planes except 262.

I won't be here next week, which is why I was disappointed to find small maps again this week. Probably means I'll miss Pizza, unless skuzzy fixes it and puts Pizza up today. I'd even settle for Trinity.
