Hey Gang,

Just wondering if anyone is planning on attending this year.

Gunner and myself will be in attendance for 6 days from Monday July 28th thru Sunday August 3rd.

For those that dont know, Oshkosh / Airventure is the Largest Airshow and gathering of Aircraft of its type in the world. Attendance is nearly a million people with Hundreds of WW2 AirCraft and Thousands of other types of AirCraft.

Several of the 327th Steel Talons will be attending and well as Gunner, Keebler and Myself of the Cactus Air Force.

Let us know if your planning on being there.

Those Steel Talon guys are Kool...err cool.

Some of 'em need to sharpen up on their golfing skills though.

(I shouldn't talk though I suppose

Love to go Grimm...but it isn't in my schedule.

BTW...it was great meeting you, even though it was short. I was chatting with Jordi at the time and may have been a bit distracted. You left before I could have a chat with you about scenarios....which Jordi and I ended up chatting about. Midway in particular. We'll have to hook up for a beer next year.

Hi Grimm,

My brother (Krillen) and I plan to bring Krillen's newly completed Kitfox to the show on Monday. Look for a white with a green stripe Kifox.

Pic was take-n before the stripe was painted.

Cant make it this year grimm. Looks like I'm going to be moving into my new house on those weekends. We'll try for next year.

Wow it's that time of year already!

JB, if you're going this Saturday, I'll take a drive up there... should be a drop in the bucket compared to driving to Indy! I got stuck in Chicago (I-80 / 294) for a frickin hour and a half on the way back.

I also expect Kool on Saturday.

Perhaps we can figure out a spot to meet up to watch the Airshow at 2 or 3 pm. It could be sort of a AH gathering spot at Oshkosh.

Ill see if I can think of a good, easy to find spot.

grimm .. i was told you gotta pay the $40 to become a member of the group then the $30 for the entrance.. that true?

if so the CON took alot out of me .. i might not be able to spend $70 + for a few hours entertainment

You never did post those pics from last year. At any rate, I'm planning the same arrival. 1000 mile air race from Kitty Hawk direct to show center.

Hope to catch some of you all there.

The admission for one day, non-member is $29. You do not have to buy a membership. I hope you can make it.

I might be right seatin in a Beaver, ( that's right joke away, at least I bring a beaver!) depends on the repairs. The plan was my pal needed some work done on the floats, if it's done in time we're goin, if not we'll stay home and buy beer and look at pictures of the masses of parked aircraft.

Dang it's getting close...

Maybe i'll look into renting my pals 172 and sleep under the wings, at least that way I left seat,hehe.

Yup, i'll be there on Saturday 8/2. Eagle emailed that a good place to meet would be at the Warbird Cafe. Maybe we can meet there for lunch? I'm looking forward to it!

sry all ... due to it being my Mother's birthday (and 1st anniversery of her passing) sunday the 27th i will be in upper Michigan visiting.
