A great article (IMO) from the National Feview.  It puts into perspective the changes in American foreign policy under the Bush adminstration.  It charactorizes them as a change back towards the center (rather than a swing wide to the right) and away from the leftest appeasements and backpeddling of the last three or four administrations.

Mr. Bush is not a radical intent on creating an American Empire.

That's a bit at odds with the much documented ideas of the movers and shakers in his cabinet.

Bait? WHat bait, I was being serious....  I don't understand you, you like the Raiders, which means you can make good decisions, but you hate America....  I just don't get it.

Any true American would want to keep a watchful eye on our civil servants... Medicboy could you please elaborate on what they did to be the “best thing to happen to this country in the last 100 years” ?

BTW the former President’s name is Reagan..

Sorry for the typo 10 bears, I have large hands and they don't always go where they are supposed to onthe keyboard.

The answer is this, my life during the 80's when Reagan was pres and during the last 3 years has been better than ever.  My life during the 90's sucked.    I like Bush because he dosen't play the political game, he is not afraid to stand up and do what has to be done.  I lost friends both on sept 11th and in the military action that came afterwards, so maybe my personal view is just a little tainted.  To me it is as simple as kill or be killed.  Anyone who poses a potential threat to the USA should be captured or killed, period.  GW said either you are with us or against us, there is no middle ground and no room for riding the political fence.  Time to show your cards.  People like sadam were very much against us.  So he and his spawn need to die.  There is just no grey area on this.  So, when you say things like the war in Iraq is wrong, I take that as you are against the USA, you are standing in the way of justice.  This world needs to learn that you mess with us you die, we need to put the fear of (insert the name of your favorite supreme beign here) in the rest of the world.  Those that clearly took our side are reaping the benefits and quite rightly so.  This terrorism thing won't go away by flashing peace signs at them, they only understand one thing, death, so let them have it.  I know this is going to take years and it is obvious to me that there are some people out there that just don't have the guts to take the hard way.   Do you not remember what happened on sept 11th????  Are we supposed to wait for the next one or something even worse before we take the next step?  Enough is enough.  You people with these short term memories bother me, are you so numb that you don't understand what happened?  They killed innocent people that were no threat to them in any way and they loved it!  they havent learned their lessons yet and wont until they see that there is no such thing as paradise when you die.  "If there is to be trouble let it be in my time so my children will have peace."
