Possible Direct X 9.0b Issues
« on: July 25, 2003, 02:57:08 PM »
A lot of people are reporting problems with the TV tuner portion All in Wonder Radeon cards after installing DX 9.0b.  It seems that mainly the PAL version tuners are broken, so people in Europe may want to avoid this new version until updates are available.

(I've got a Leadtek TV tuner card; I'll have to test it and see if DX 9.0b broke it.)

The Leadtek TV 2000 XP Deluxe still works at least.

I have a radeon and I don't use the TV feature, but every time I start my computer I have serious flickering.  I have to uncheck the TV button.

I am running Win98se and an old driver.  At times Aces High gets choppy as I try and fly.  Quite frankly I want to take a 20lb sledge to the sucker and start over!

My All In Wonder VE reacted to 9.0b by locking up Windows every ten minutes, or so. I reverted to a backup of the previous day and all is well.
