I am the parts manager at a Hummer dealer. Met all kinds of stars. Some highlights for me AC Green LA Lakers spent some time with him getting some accessories for his hummer. Rubin Ruberio is that his name he is on the TV show Prince of Bellair spent a day with him and Mark Paul Gosslier offroading. Rubin was freaking funny. We pull into this Mcdonalds to get some breakfest. The chick at the window recognizes them in the back and she is wetting herself. Then on the trail I take them up some real nasty stuff in the Hummer and hes is in the back screaming like a little girl. At one point we crest the top of a ridge and he is drinking a soda. The hummer rocks back and forth teetering then I inch further a little more and the weight tranfers shooting him up into his seat belt I look in the mirror and see 2 jets of soda shooting out of his nose. He throws the door open and runs screaming like a little girl down the trail. The rest of us where rolling damn it was funny. A rap star gave me a $100 tip one day for getting snow chains for his hummer Coolieo or something. Snoop dog used to come in all the time real nice guy. Best thing no matter what his Hummer needed it was fix it. Dont matter what it costs. Most rich and famous type people are so cheap its pathetic.

Having been in the film/video production biz I've encountered many Hollywood types....here's a short list of them and why I remember them...

Heather Lockleer...I had my hadnd up her wedding dress to hook a Lavalier mic up for her wedding to Tommy Lee.

Stewart Whitman...had my hand up his shirt hooking up a Lavalier Mic, got my ring caught on his chest hair...the guy is an ape, been friends since the early 80's.

Wally Shirra....Was the stage manager at a corporate event where he was the guest speaker...we BS's for 15 mins about the Apollo program.

Steve Allen...another stage manager job...he had a 200 page rider....very picky, his stage personna is just that, a dick off stage.

Dave Collier...after Americas Funniest Videos he produced a CD "Blast from the Pants" I contributed a buttsong that made it on the CD.

Julia Child...I did the lighting for one of her shows, a Santa Barbara < Monticeto > resident, very nice and talkative lady.

Robin Leech...met him at a urnal at the Biltmore Hotel in Santa Barbara, had a brief conversation.

John Wayne...while he was filming the Green Berets in Guam.

I've meet a lot of 'stars' but these few were memorable.

After 22 year as a Public Safety Officer (Fire Rescue/Police) at small commercial airport, I must have met hundreds of politicians, sports stars, movie stars and foreign dignitaries.

My most memorable occurred in the mid-80’s, can’t remember what year off hand. I met Malcolm Forbes and we struck up a conversation about him riding his Harley in Moscow. Before his plane departed the airport, I was invited aboard his B-727, The Capitalist Tool; there he showed me photos of him riding his Harley in the streets of Moscow and Red Square. He had photos hanging everywhere and appeared to enjoy showing and telling the story behind the photographs.

I once discussed early childhood education with Hillary Clinton.  I have met and talked with Gregory Boyington and George Gay.

Other celebrities I have met and rubbed elbows with are:  Mrs. Robert Moore of Arkansas City Arkansas; Ronald Kelly of near Pine Bluff, Arkansas;  Doris and Luther Lagrone of Dermott, Arkansas;  Ginger and Keith Norris of Monticello, Arkansas;  Mrs. Mona Kamahl of Cairo, Egypt;  and others too numerous to mention.  They, and others like them, are the real movers and shakers.  If they had not existed, it would have been necessary for the world to invent them.

A little throwback to SNL and the original players? Garret Morris used nearly this same line to get Jane Curtain:)

I had the pleasure once of meeting Dan Gurney. He came to our foundry to listen to a speil by the boss and on the tour he was introduced to me. We had the opportunity to chat some and got my picture taken with him. He also signed my GPL handbook :). A really cool guy, one could not help but like him immediately.

During High School I was struck by Rosalind Carter's Limo at the State Fair of Texas. She was there to give a speech to some womens group during the election and I being a dumb-arse kid walked right out in front of the speeding limo. She was VERY nice.
I was working in radio during the mid 80's and got to cover Farm Aid II in Austin, Tx for Mutual Broadcasting. I interviewed nearly every performer there and still have the media folder with their autographs. Sorry Diablo, Stevie Ray was one of them. He was a good guy. Still have those tapes packed away somewhere.
I got to meet and talk with Rusty Wallace 2 years ago at The Miller Brewery in Ft. Worth. Don't know if it's just an act, but he really seems to be a genuine nice guy that you would want to hang out with. He gave me an genuine Pit Crew shirt (not the crap they sell at the souvenir stand) and autographed it for me.

I used to work with a guy that had an autographed picture of him and Pres. Reagan. I would always shoot him down asking how much he had to donate to the election and just how long he got to stand next to Ronnie. He finally quit talking about it.;)
