So you have actually enlisted to protect the rights of US citizens? The US have a "professional" army, where people get payed to the their job.  Save the bs.

I think you just inadvertently supported flag burning.

And if you practiced what you preached, you would not be threatening physical violence on those who do not agree with you.

I've never seen anyone burn a flag. Just what I see on TV, which is usually thousands of miles away.

So Dave, you're saying that it would be a problem if Bush signed baby Jesus?

All of you are missing Drunky's point.  Its not the mere fact of burning the flag (which is a government endorsed way of discarding old and or worn out flags) but the act of burning the flag as a sign of "protest".  If you want to protest against actions of this country or its government then go to the polls and vote, contact other people to your point of views (although I do not endorse shoving any view down another person's throat) and generally make yourself productive.  There is no need to burn the flag in "protest" other than to show that your are having a "knee-jerk" reaction to something that you disagree with.  This whole "my schlong is bigger than your schlong" rhetoric is both childish and pointless.  If you are going to make a point, use facts and observations and not emotional outbursts.  Thank you and have a nice day.     :D

I wouldn't worry about Drunky.  I'm pretty sure he wouldn't hurt anyone.  He just had a wild night after his wife finally let him have more than 2 beers. :D

1. I'll never burn a flag.
2. I love my country.
3. I strongly believe in our constitution and the rights it gives us.

Because of points 1, 2 and 3, I support the rights of jerks to burn the US flag.  Anyone who talks about making flag burning illegal is out of touch with WHY our country is special.

Ok, I will try again.  Yes I support the BoR, what I am saying is there are other ways to show your disapproval other than by doing something that is so repugnant to others.  Burn all the flags you want, all I am saying is that it's a dumb way to protest.  Is that clear enough?

Well, so far Bush hasn't faked tears on the beach of Normandy, he hasn't laughed and joked at an admininstrators funeral, and he's not knocking up 19 year olds in the Oval coffee room, he hasn't turned over our most secret nuclear secrets to China, and he's actively pursueing Terrorists instead of pretending they're not around...so, I think we can forgive him for signing a little flag, no?

You do understand how assinine it is to defend Drunky's post and then type the above statemnent, don't you?

Drunky's point was that if you exercised your freedom of speech he would in return commit a crime.  Kinda dumb.

Rip, don't waste anymore time on these idiots.  They obviously don't get it, won't get, and choose not to get it.  I voted for Clinton in '92.  I will never try to hide that fact.  But in '96 I voted for Dole after having seen the errors of my way.  No matter what you say, no matter how many facts are put on the table, lib's will never understand what the conservatives try to advocate.  After spending so many years as a lib, I look back now and realise what a genius my father was all those years.  Not ONCE did he ever try to disuade me of my politics.  I found out on my own.  Never ever will I make that mistake again.  Diversity my ass, let's just all be Americans and to hell with all of these damn PC labels everyone is so hot after.

No, that would have been is EMOTIONAL reaction to a situation.  How assinine is it that you again missed a very simple and easy to understand point????

You mean the point about not liking this particular form of expression and then the threat of violence?

... or was it something else?
