HiTech .. odd question
« on: July 28, 2003, 04:07:46 PM »
if you dont mind telling...

i was thinking about flying last night and got to wondering.

how much did the gas for the flight to the CON cost?

i know there are TONS of expenses to flying, but gas is the most basic you'd need. so how bad is it?
I don't know what to put here yet.

between $2.00 and $2.60 a gal

Burns about 9 an hour.

200 mph

4 hours aprox to indy.

Gas is the cheap part. Just had an alt encoder go bad $250 plus instalation, and recalibrate of alitimiter.

Total bill $550.

In fact just eng ware is aprox $10 an hour 20k rebuild into 2000 hr life.

I wouldn't let him work on mine. Who knows where those bones would end up.......

Besides one of the biggest perks to being an A&P is doing your OWN maintenance.
