Just a couple of spots, but the best one, I would be hesitant to take someone elses boat into unless it was a real high tide or we walked it across the bar.  Of course that hurri probably changed a lot of stuff in that area too.    Rockport is actually usually better day to day fishing than CC.

Udie.. Fresh Water Trout

depends on the variety

typically the Rainbows will dive and run...
long and hard.. then turn their heads.
that's when you haul in, but have to be
ready for the next run.. depending on the
strenght / size of the trout I've had as
many as 10-15 hard runs across the river.

Browns typically dive, jump, splash, wiggle
etc.. and are very very adept at spitting out the hook.

Brookies tend to dive also..
and try to hug the bottom.

don't know about the 'cusin's down in the Gulf
but I'd bet they're a lot like Rainbows


fly fishing IS fishing
