Yeah, I can see how this would be all their fault.

During the first special session, Senate Democrats were able to block a redistricting bill that could have given Republicans an additional seven seats. Eleven Democrats and one Republican stood firm against the bill.

Republicans are pressing for more seats in the state's 32-member delegation in the U.S. House; the Democrats currently hold a 17-15 advantage.

Ummm..if you have the advantage already and can kill a bill just by voting, wouldn't it make more sense to, ummm, stay and vote the bill dead?  No?  Makes too much sense?

Can you imagine the outcry and media attention (nationally) if the Repubs did this? Why, it'd be a media circus not unlike the OJ Simpson trial!

No but they ought to, then round up all the brain-washing University professors around the country and line them up too.  That way our colleges aren't putting out young, dumb brain-washed-to-think-animals-have-more-rights-than-human students.

lol, learn what? That the sissy democrats run and hide when they don't get their way?

These guys run out of the state and hide rather than allow a vote to be held on the issue, they ought to be jailed.

A Republican Governor that won't take NO for an answer is the problem. He pushed for redistricting and it didn't pass in the Regular Session, so he calls for a Special Session and it still does not pass. If he doesn't get his party in the majority he will continue to call for Special Sessions untill he does. We could be doing this for years. :(

Dont worry about it.  Most of what he posts is pure drivel anyway.

When are you folks gonna learn that they are all crooks...no matter which side they are on.  The left and the right are all alike.

It didnt pass because it wasnt voted on. It wasnt voted on because the democrats who ruled Texas with a iron hand for 130 years, left state so they wouldnt have to vote. Redistricting is a partisan event, its the republicans turn to gerrymander the lines and the Dems dont like payback.
