just sayin

A. AH2 is not done.
B.At least we have some pretty good gameplay, as opposed to a 'hollow game' with good graphics but bad/no gameplay.

wasnt talking about gameplay.  I will say that AH has gameplay second to none.  But ohhhs and ahhhs arent warented for pixilated graphics and trapezoid like terrain.

I enjoy playing AH and dont plan on cancelling my account anytime soon.

BUT

If screenshots i see dont impress me, i should be able to voice my opinion without cheerleaders drawing conclusions from my statements.

I stand as before on AH2, completely underwhelmed.

loser,

Keep in mind those two sceenshots are proof of concept tests from Febuary.

They may not be indicitive of the final product.

Also, the screen shot of the sun is simply using the Trinity map, so I doubt that is a good gauge of the terrain engine either.

thanks karnak for the more reasonable response.  But AH2 is due out in the 3rd quarter.  You cant believe that the fake looking sun, the angled terrain and the piss poor ground tiles will be resolved in 2 months.

Im really not complaining though, im happy with the game as is.  I just dont think that people should be pumped about something that isnt that much of a leap.  Ill keep paying my account as i have done for the last 3 years; but i sure wont blow smoke up anyone's star about how good AH2 looks.

loser,

No, I expect that we'll initially have to deal with those things as they are (with increased surface detail), but as new maps are made specifically with the AH2 engine hopefully things will get better.

I think, and correct me if I'm wrong, that HTC has the theory to have the graphics that the lowest 'common' computer can handle, while having the best gameplay/connection that they can offer. With this in mind, I think they are, as a company, the best on the market for what we, as customers(this includes all of us that can't afford the newest MB and graphics card), have to choose from. No, the graphics aren't the 'best' that are out there. But, they offer great graphics that the common user can run. I think that disparaging the latest effort by this company, before it is even released, is a little sophomoric, and a little premature. If you don't like what they have done after they release it, fine. But don't judge by screen shots that are known to be seven months old.

Just my .02

This remembers me of hitech's announcement of the stars and the moon.

I'm sure now, he's a outer atmospheric star lover.

Maybe you should read my post again, I made a comment on the gameplay to compare it to a game that is all eye candy and not fun to play. The main point of my post was that these are concept pics, so not everything in the pic (cockpit) would be finished.
