H2H "arenas"?
« on: October 25, 2000, 03:24:00 PM »
I've been "playing" around with the latest AH offline for a week or so, just seeing what it is like. I've read through this board getting the feel of the community and game, and I've found these two comments in a thread below:

"I'd tell them to fly a while in the free H2H servers and see for themselves..."

"If in doubt, then by all means check out the 8 way free H2H. Always someone who has a FFA up looking for action."

I see on the AH web site that 8 players can fly in H2H. How does one find these "arenas"?

Thanks.

When you start the game, and the clipboard comes up, look to the right. There's a button marked H2H. Click on it, and it will ask you if you want to Host a game or Join a game.

From the startup menu, just click H2H, then join instead of host.  You may have to have an 'account' (not paying, but listed) to get in, can't remember.  Once there any games up will be listed.

The HTC does not provide the H2H arenas, only matching service.
You have to have an AH account to participate in H2H but it does not have to be a paid account.
The server is run by a guy who creates the game, not by HTC.

You can also start your own arena.
