Just wanted to drop in and say that the Squad Ops events are what me & my squaddies wait for all week long.
Its the **best** of Aces High.

The Euro & N American audience for this event is there, I have even been contacted by RCAF 418 Sqn (Bluedeth, Bikekil,& co) inquiring about joining the Sunday SquadOps, which means even more people. I believe the Sunday Squad Ops can reach the 200 mark, just like the Friday squad ops.  There are many people and squads flying aimlessly in the main arena, some know about the event but its too difficult to for them to hook up with a squad that does fly in it, and others go without knowing about the events.

If we will be defaulting the near Sunday because of a shortage of CMs we should know about this, perhaps some of our regular pilots would be willing to lend their time and apply for a CM job.

Well there seems to have been a misunderstanding ... we will have a squad ops this sunday. I will divide you into teams .. and it will be Burma, based on Suave's Burma for friday.

I will get it all out to you today/tonight.

I sent each side their objectives and in the message told who was the CiC for both side.

GA CiC for Japanese
Warloc CiC for Allies

Well as it now stands looks like we will scrub tomorrow also. Since it looks like I confused people with the objectives. Will tell Stegahorse to bring up his squad ops instead. For next week.

Frame is on .. Warloc was out of town until last night. He hammered out the orders for Axis side and got them out. Frame is on.

As for CAP .. that was a server issue.

A little unfair, Cav.... the CAP was only cancelled (or rather postponed!) because the SEA became inaccessible during setup.  The decision was made to cancel because it looked like Skuzzy would not be available to reset the arena until Monday - in which case the Sunday SquadOp would have had to be cancelled also anyway!  As it happened, somebody managed to get hold of Skuzzy, but too late for the CAP;  however, the CMs present (Kisters, Gremlin and Skyman) decided to run a snapshot instead so that folk had something to participate in.  They could have just said "to heck with it" and gone to the MA or found something else to do, but knowing there would be some disappointed people around, they chose to run the snapshot.  I am proud of the fact that they all gave up their own time to do this.... Kisters was supposed to be on a night out, but stepped in at the last minute due to other reasons preventing the rest of the CAP team being there, while Gremlin and Skyman were in their own time intending to take part in the CAP.  They showed their dedication to the success of the CM team as a whole,  by coming up with an alternative at the last minute.  :D

I know I was impressed by the way Gremlin et. al. stepped up to the plate and provided the effort needed to put something together.  We all owe them a vote of thanks for their hard work!!
