Loser,

You have opened yourself to enhanced betterment of your future.  You now have the incentive, and drive to show yourself what you can do.  Any job interview is a demostration of selling yourself, letting the interviewer know he shouldn't pass up an opportunity of hiring the best applicant available...You.

Hold your head high, be the man you know, and look at yourself every morning, knowing you are the best you have to offer.

Changing oil is not what you're about, so not working for this fugger is a blessing in disguise.  You stayed calmer than most people, so forget the fug.  I also commend you for doing what you know is the right thing to do.  I would report this situation to the Canadian civil rights group only to make them aware, not to get your job back.  You don't want that job back.

Now go out and get another job.  Look sharp, alert, and interested in any job that you feel will help you in your career.  Don't sell your self short.  Try to get a job doing anything in the field you're studing, and want more expertise in.  It is really difficult to find a good employees these days.  Employers know this.  I attend meetings all the time, where the general managers are begging for people to train, or trainable people.

Attendance, attitude, ability, in that order are what they looking for in an employee.  Your situation wouldn't ever apply to habitual time off,  in my book.  You'll probably hear from an ex-coworker the fugger got fired sometime in the future, but who cares.

You are in control now, open your eyes, take a good look, and good luck.

Loser, sorry to hear about it man.  I know the feeling.  I was fired just over 2 years ago from a job that I thought really had some potential.  6 weeks into the job I recieved a raise and a big "atta boy" from the CEO and then 6 weeks later I was given my pink slip, 2 weeks pay and no real reason why I was let go.  I was so shook up from being fired for the first time I was in a daze for a couple of days.  My wife suggested that I file for umemployment so I called TEC and told them the situation.  They had a rep call me and ask me questions about the situation and then didn't hear anything from them for a few days (like a week).  I got a call back from one of the reps and he said that through their investigation they determined that I got fired for no real reason and that they would approve my application for unemployment.  I knew this would really get under the skin of my former CEO so I told the rep, "No thanks, I just wanted to prove a point to myself and that company.  Thank you for your time and energy on my behalf."  Later, I recieved a letter from TEC stating such fact and it also said that a copy of this letter was sent to my former employer.     :D
