I've done alot of searching regarding this topic and found nothing. I'm looking for information regarding different types of aircraft and there typical formations used during WWII.
As an example I'm curious as to the altitude, range distance, and formation(s) used to typically escort bombers. Along with this all I'm curious as to air to ground attack formations used. I know there was a good piece about P-38s but is there anything else on other aircraft.
I have found some good stuff regarding the German tank formations. Now I just need to find stuff about the Allied tank formations.
Along with this information I want to incorporate the information about each type of base that is in AH and how to setup proper strike packages. With it all I'll be able to coordinate proper engagements with fighters, bombers and ground attack vehicles. Thanks for any information you may be able to provide in advance.
