We should eliminate the governor position in order to save money.

Yeah, right.

Talk about insane levels of historical revisionism.

How about you wake up and see reality, or would that hurt your world view too much?  Ah, poor baby.

The facts are is that both political parties in CA massively and repeatedly screwed the pooch.  The Bush Administration further help CA screw the pooch (along with most of the other states).  There was much screwing of the pooch by CA's electrical distribution companies.

Personally I am getting really, really sick of Republican/Conservative revisionism.  This crap from the people who have the gall to accuse the Lefties of being revisionists.  Talk about hypocrites.

hmmm... okay, one of the major arguments in California is the massive budget deficit.  Okay, not as big as the one our GOP comrades in washington are running up, but still pretty big.  Well, we could run the recall election in January along with regularly-scheduled state elections, but then our GOP comrades would lose their seat in Washington.  So let's _double_ the deficit and have it in November.
There's a reason why Americans revere George Washington and Ben Franklin.

I don't hate California Democrats or California Republicans only.  I hate all Californians.  I believe that's my constitutional right as an Oregonian and I think we might have some laws on the books requiring it too.  Or if we don't, we should!

I think SOB is onto something good here.

on the recall thing, it needs to be larger then just 5 percent of the voters to be able to recall a governer. thats like having 2 out of 12 jurors decide if someone is guilty.

Maybe if we all jump up and down at the same time we can encourage the San Andreas fault to finally give, would solve at least part of the problem.
