The Spitfire is undoubtedly the second prettiest plane, gorgeous from all angles.  

But the most perfect design of all?  The Bell P-39.

Have to say I have always admired its clean lines.  Sure is a sweet looking ride.

Ah, 7 mean, nasty Spit XIIs!!! Sure wish we had this baby instead of the Spit XIV. I believe they were capable of damn near 400 mph at just 5k.

OK I give. The He-219 is very nice, but the Spit is the most beautiful WWII fighter.
