F4U or 190 Squads
« on: August 06, 2003, 01:53:12 AM »
I'm currently looking for a squad that specializes in F4U's or 190's.  I enjoy the characteristic's of both planes, but I cannot master them.

I'm looking for a squad that value's wingmen and inflight dicipline that uses one of those planes.  If anyone is willing to let me sign up, or even just tag along for awhile to check my "worthiness" I'm fine with that. :D

Munkii, does it matter if it is CT?  If so JG 3 is recruiting.  The IV Gruppe JG 3 is a 190 only Gruppe.  Great squad and well organized.  The catch is we fly axis all the time.

Click here for the official JG 3 website

PS-

1.  You must be at least 18 years old.
2.  You must have voice capability.

VF-17. F4Us. Squad tactics. And occasionally the skipper'll get a wild hair up his bum in a euro setting and draft me to fly those hideous evil German planes. But I'm tellin' ya ... tailhooks is where it's at. And those big, blue F4Us are mahvelous. Is there a bottle of Jack in the `pit of the Wulfe? No. Why? `Cause Germans can't make fine Tennessee sippin' whiskey. Oh sure ... they can brew some beer. But ... we can do that too. We keep ours in the outer ammo bins on the F4U. :D

Thanks to both of you for the offer's, I actually don't get to fly the CT much, so I'll have to pass, but if I ever fly in there I would enjoy taking a hop with you guys if you didn't mind.

:)

Arlo, how would I go about signing up/getting a qualification flight with you guys?  VF-17 sounds like where I would like to be right now.  I've been flying Aces's High off and on for about 2 years.. and I flew AW all the way back when it was on AOL, which really isn't too long I guess. :D

Munkii,

Take a look at this link in my signature. That will get you to our recruiting page for now and you can drop me a note that way. We fly in both the MA and CT but are getting ready for the upcoming Okinawa Scenario so we might be in the CT a bit more for now. Look forward to flying with you in the near future.
