While cruising /. , I ran across an article referencing Bruce Sterling Woodcock's MMOG Subscription chart, which charts the subscription numbers for a number of games, including WWIIOL, which after its introduction appears to have stabilized at about 15,000 - 20,000 players, and I wondered if HTC had comparable data. I don't think there's any way AH can compare in member base to Evercrack, but it would be interesting to see where our membership stood in comparison.

judging from the score pages wich isnt entirely accurate Id say ah subscribtion numbers could be as low as 3000 to 5000 members or potentially much much higher. the best way to get a rough estimate is to check ww2ol numbers at prime times and see how many people are playing at a given time compared to the reported 15,000 subscribers.

Knowing the way they work,it wouldn't surprise me if the 15,000 was accurate....for the total amount of players who have ever suscribed.

Not the number who are currently playing.

I'd like to see how many accounts are actually active.

Well if compared to the competition - ie WB and FA then AH is way ahead with 400 odd online at peak times - don't know about IL-FB though they do seem to have a large (but now rather grumpy) player base - would be interesting to know where all the sims actually stand.

i feel that WWIIonline is not the same as WB or AH. it is more of a combat feel then a flight game.

WWIIonline has better tanks, trucks, inf, AT guns and towns with what feels much more real...and needs much more thinking.

AH what i have seen so far is a much better flying game for me as it is not full real... we only have black outs.

we really can not put WWIIonline in the same pot as the flight sims.

as for numbers.... 1800 to 2100 on line in WWIIonline

how many subscribe and how many per night is what counts.

WWIIonline has around 1500 per night.

Guys I have some golden information for you.

In the old days of Warbirds, we had access to info that showed for Online Games, the formula was:

Maximum peak players * 10 = Subscriber base.

So if you test it:

AH
500 player online peak = 5000 subscribers.
How many in the score stats about 4000-5000.
Formula looks good so far.

WWIIOnline
1000-1500 players in peak times = 10000 to 15000 subscribers.
The link above says about 15000 subscribers.
Formula looks good again.

WW2OL shows you data on how many are playing? That's news to me.
