Joystick Stand

I got bored Sunday, and having remembered a post I saw a long while back about HOTAS setups, I decided to make myself a new joystick stand.  It turned out pretty nice for about an hours worth of work and 20 dollars.

Ignore the pasty white legs please. :D

Nice, but isn't the joystick a little low?  It'd get mighty uncomfortable after awhile.  I'd raise it up a couple of inches.  Looks good, but if it keeps you in your house any longer I'm afraid you'll turn into a vampire.

I had put it up higher, but my chair only sits about 13 inches off the floor that I fly with, and the stick base is 15 and 3/4 inches.   I have my chair so low in anticipation of buying some rudder pedals... sometime.  Well I've been wanting to do it for ever, just have never gotten around to it.:(

It's a Saitek X45, the whole setup cost 100.00 but I bought the stick awhile ago.  The entire stand cost me 26.00  20 for the board and 6 for the screws and velcro holding the stick on.  If anyone wants they can PM or e-mail me and I can send them the plan's I created to build thier own.
