taking it out would be the worst decision the HTC could make IMO, what if I need to take a leak? am I just gonna try to trim it out and hope it doesn't crash????? huh???

you may not like the feature but me and many others use it a lot, it's part of the sim learn to live with it.

Don't even try to complain about it being "unrealistic" there's some stuff i can claim to prove unrealistic but i don't go around asking for them to be implemented.  You want Auto-Trim taken away? fine than you better take away all ammo counters (except german planes)........ the arguement can go on all day.  It's fine the way it is now, don't fix something if it isn't broken

Maybe I'm missing something here, but wouldn't it be much easier (and safer) to just apply some trim and pull back lightly on the stick in such a situation?  I would think if you were in a blackout/compression situation and auto-pilot could pull you out of it, it'd just rip your wings right off!

I do think it would be nice to disable auto pilot when you're blacked out tho'.  I know I've used it countless times when blacked out from a pilot wound to keep myself from flying into the ground.

Is there any realism in this game? NO! That's precisely why it's a game.

wow, didn't expect that voss, hey if you don't like it leave, Ok?  I mean i find the flight model very realistic, yeah it could be more realistic in cockpits, features.... but come on this is a Massive Multiplayer Game with many planes in it, do you really expect complete perfection?

No, and that's not why I said that. I'm just tired of the "It didn't happen like that in WWII," and "That's not really how it is" crap! I mean, if this game really was as close to real as it could possibly be, not many would be getting kills, no one would be having fun, and flights would consist of long, unproductive sorties. PLUS, your gaming system would cost out the ass!

I like it like it is, and that's why I'm here. No, I ain't leaving. You leave!  ;)

Ahh the beloved x key, how many times have you pulled my plane out of dives that were so fast that I had no elevator authority at all .

It Sure is Eh..

But i wouldnt call adjusting trim "yanking".. eh. That would refer to using your stick to adjust heading drasticly.. eh

<edited for addition>
I dont see anyone asking to get rid of Auto trim. Why so hostile? from what i have gathered here is that people would like to see you not be able to use it under certain circumstances.

With out auto trim we would all have to invest in bed pans and small refrigerators ( some have  :D lol) for our computer rooms.

I dont see why it would cause such a fuss to have to manualy trim out of a stall.

Yea if your wounded you should be able to auto trim, but you shouldnt be able to activate it after/while your blacked out from the wound.. going unconsious should be just that.

dont remove it.
Just make it unusable in steep angles.

I think the trim should be left alone. If you don't like it, don't use it.

So what if there are pilots using it to recover from compression dives. It's not as if you couldn't manually adjust the elevator trim (blacked out or not).

Well, if yer blacked out the only thing you should be able to do is pray that you dont come out of the black out kissing dirt or blown off the virtual sky.

In a hi speed dive autopilot will just rip yer wings off.  Manual trim is about the only way u'll pull out if compressed, and even then luck may come into it.

When wounded, auto-pilot is a godsend.  If a guy is pulling enough gee to blackout and then hits autopilot to level.. surely the guy he is fighting now has a nice level target no?

I use auto angle when trying to glide home when outta gas, and autospeed on climbout... not much else.
